Our Photo Competitions
During the course of the year, f4 Group members are invited to join in the photo competitions arranged for the membership. As from January 2010 these competitions are now for digital images only.
The Club's Photo Competitions are :-
Photographer of the Year Trophy –
is a multi-round competition for digital projected images. The trophy is awarded to the member gaining the most points from each of the rounds of the competition. This runs from January to December, and adopts subjects chosen by the members.
Image of the Year –
a special competition held each January, to select the best image from the previous year’s competition rounds. Entries qualify by being the pictures placed 1st 2nd 3rd in any of the rounds.
Summer Outings Rose Bowl –
is awarded to the member who wins the competition for pictures taken during the 12 summer evening outings in May-August. This competition is open to digital images.
The Landlord's Cheetah Trophy –
is awarded to the winner of the competition for the best picture taken during the f4 Group’s annual trip. This competition is open to digital images.
YCPG Print Competitions –
the f4 Group enters several print competitions within the Yorkshire Coastal Photographic Group, and all members are encouraged to submit prints to be considered for entry.
Kodak Van Trophy –
is awarded to the member who wins the occasional Photographic Treasure Hunt, based on taking the best pictures gained by solving the clues. This competition is open to digital images.
